What does Jet Set Joe do for me as a consumer?
Jet Set Joe makes it possible for you to view merchant promotions on any Jet Set Joe web site and you'll receive cash-back rewards in the form of rebates automatically on your monthly statement(s) for purchases you make.
How does Jet Set Joe save me money both online and offline?
Jet Set Joe enables you to save money through cash-back promotions in both online and traditional shopping environments when purchasing at participating merchants. Jet Set Joe automatically reimburses you a percentage of your purchases in the form of cash back rebates on your monthly statement(s).
How do I join?
Simply make a purchase from the site, and you are enrolled - all qualifying transactions will result in a cash-back rebate applied to your account as a credit on your monthly statements.
Where can I find cash-back promotions?
Rebate amounts are clearly listed in each qualifying travel section, Hotels & Cruise, and everything listed on the Jet Set Joe web site is part of a promotion. While most promotions will give you a rebate in the form of credit on your registered credit/debit card's monthly statement(s), some promotions instead feature a discount prior to payment. Please read promotion details carefully to understand exactly how you will be rewarded.
How does it work?
Search for travel related services and view the rebate offers for Hotels and Cruises. Use a VISA/MasterCard credit or debit card(s) when making your purchases. You'll be charged full price at the time of purchase, however, your credit/debit card will be automatically registered, and your cash-back rebate will automatically appear as credit on your card's monthly statement(s) once you have completed your trip.
How do I get my rebate?
You receive your rebates in the form of credit on your monthly credit/debit card statement(s). Depending on the statement closing date, the credit from a purchase may not appear on the same statement as the original charge. All cash-back credits normally appear within one - two billing cycles. There are no checks, coupons or rebate forms involved.
Do I get my cash back at the time of purchase?
You pay the full amount indicated at the time of purchase. Jet Set Joe will then send you an e-mail confirming your purchase and your individual cash-back rebates for each of those purchases. You will automatically receive your cash-back rebates as credit on your monthly credit/debit card statement(s) once you have completed your trip.
What if my cash-back award doesn't appear on my credit card statement?
In some cases you will not see your rebate on the same card statement as the original charges. If your cash-back rebate does not appear on your credit or debit card statement(s), your transactions may have been on or close to your card statement issue date. All cash-back credits normally appear within one or two billing cycles. You can also contact customer service via email at info@jetsetjoe.com.
Do I need to print a coupon or show any membership cards?
No. You don't have to print the offer, clip coupons or show discount cards. No one needs to know that you are getting cash back! You'll pay full-price with your credit, ATM or check card(s) at the time of purchase, and your cash-back savings will appear automatically as credit on your monthly card statement.
Can I pay by Cash, Check, Discover or American Express?
You can only get cash back rebates when you pay using your VISA/MasterCard ATM or Check Cards. Jet Set Joe must be able to identify that you have made a purchase.
Do I need to mention the offer before I pay?
No. All you have to do is pay the full amount at the time of purchase using one of your VISA or MasterCard credit cards, ATM or checking cards, and meet the offer's Conditions. Your cash-back rebates will then appear automatically as credit on your monthly card statement once you have completed your trip.
Can I combine a promotion with another offer, such as a coupon?
You may not combine a Jet Set Joe promotion with any other offer, such as a coupon, a discount card, other savings program or another Jet Set Joe promotion. If you unintentionally use a Jet Set Joe promotion together with another discount, your cash-back rebate will be adjusted accordingly and reflected on your credit or debit card statement.
How does Jet Set Joe keep all credit card information secure and private?
Your security and privacy are paramount to us. Jet Set Joe is registered with the Better Business Bureau and protects your data by:

Can I use international credit cards?
We have many different merchants listed on our site. They each have their own rules as to international card usage. Please refer to the merchant on a case by case basis.
Can I pay with a debit or check card to get my rebates?
Yes. As long as the debit or check card displays a VISA or MasterCard logo.
Please note: When you make your purchases, be sure to select "credit" and not "debit" to receive your rebates. If you are not given an opportunity to select "credit", please verify with the checkout attendant that your payment method is "credit" and not "debit". You'll automatically get rebates at thousands of merchants when you purchase with your registered debit or check cards.
What happens to my rebate if I receive a refund on my purchase?
If you are refunded on any purchase that you made with your credit/debit card, your rebate will be deducted from your credit/debit card. Jet Set Joe only pays rebates on completed transactions.
How does Jet Set Joe know that I've purchased a product or service from a participating merchant?
Jet Set Joe knows you have purchased a product or service from a participating merchant in one of the following ways:
- Through the data that comes in from your credit/debit card;
- When you shop online through a link on the Jet Set Joe web site;
- When the information you input from a purchase or merchant program matches the data sent to us from that merchant.
Do I get the same amount of rebates from every merchant?
The rebates you receive will vary depending on each merchant. Each merchant will clearly state its' own rebate offer.
When will I receive my rebates?
After you complete your travel. However, depending on when your purchase is made in relation to your credit card’s billing cycle, your rebate may not appear on your credit card statement for up to two cycles.
How do I keep track of my rebates?
You can view your rebates by visiting your credit card company’s secure web site. Simply register with your issuing bank to see all transactions that occur with your card online or call your credit card company’s customer service line to find out what has been posted to your account.
Do all purchases qualify for rebates? Are there any restrictions?
You will receive rebates from participating merchants based on the price of eligible goods and services purchased, generally excluding tax, shipping, and handling. In general, rebates will not be made for any portion of your purchase paid for with coupons, store credit, online currency, or gift certificates. For each merchant's rebate restrictions, please refer to that merchant's program details. Airline merchants do not currently offer a rebate.
What happens to my rebates if one of your participating merchants discontinues the program?
Any rebates you have already received from that merchant are yours to keep. However, you will not be able to receive future rebates from that merchant after its discontinued participation in the program.
Can I use special offers and coupons and still receive rebates?
We work with our merchants to provide you with specials and coupons that you can combine with the Jet Set Joe discounts for maximum savings. If you choose to use coupons and specials that are not listed on the Jet Set Joe web site or in Jet Set Joe email, we cannot guarantee that you will be eligible to receive a rebate on your purchases.
Why do I need to go through the Jet Set Joe site when I shop online to get rebates? Why can't I just go directly to the merchant's site?
By shopping through the Jet Set Joe site, our participating merchants will be able to identify you as a Jet Set Joe member and this way accurately send rebates to your credit card account.
Are there any restrictions?
Rebates will be made off of the price before taxes and fees. If you are attempting to use other coupons to double your discount, you will forfeit your rebate from Jet Set Joe. In general, rebates will not be made for any portion of your purchase paid for with coupons, store credit, online currency or gift certificates. Specific terms and conditions vary per merchant. The restrictions are listed with each participating merchant.
If I shop online, how do I know I received my rebates?
You can view all your transactions and the rebates you earned for each purchase on your monthly card statement or online at your credit card company’s secure web site. Generally, your rebate will be processed and posted immediately after the completion of your trip.
Is there a limit on the rebate amount I can get with participating merchants?
If a merchant chooses to impose a spending limit, the limit will be clearly listed next to the merchant's offer.
Do I need to let the airline know I'm a member of Jet Set Joe?
Jet Set Joe does not currently offer rebates on flight purchases and there is no need to mention that you are a Jet Set Joe member.
How can I take advantage of special discount plans such as mileage discounts, government employee discounts, etc?
You may not combine a Jet Set Joe promotion with any other offer, such as a coupon, a discount card, other savings program or another Jet Set Joe promotion. Jet Set Joe does not offer promotions on flight bookings alone. You will have the opportunity to enter any related frequent flyer member number when booking online. You may also check with the ticketing agent upon your check-in at the airport to ensure that your frequent flyer account is being credited appropriately.
What are e-tickets and why should I use them?
Electronic tickets, or e-tickets, now offered by many major airlines, allowing you to travel without paper tickets, eliminating the worry of leaving your tickets behind. The only record of an e-ticket sale is an electronic form in the airline's computer system. When you buy an e-ticket, you'll receive a confirmation of your purchase via e-mail.
How do I change or cancel my itinerary?
Jet Set Joe is a travel referral service. While we help you find the best travel deals at the best prices, your booking is made directly with the airline you select. Therefore, all changes or cancellations to your itinerary should be made directly with the airline and not with Jet Set Joe. We strongly suggest that you make copies of all contact information to have handy in case of changes either before or during your trip.
Who do I contact to make changes while on my trip?
Jet Set Joe is a travel referral service. Therefore, any changes that must be made should be made directly with airline, hotel, car rental service, etc. with which you have made a reservation. Once you book travel, you will receive a confirmation number with contact information for each merchant. We strongly suggest that you make copies of all contact information to take with you on your trip.
Do I need a visa or passport to visit the country to which I am traveling?
For information on travel documents required for foreign countries, call Visa Services Inquiry at 1-800-222-8472, Monday - Friday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm ET. They will provide you with passport, visa and medical vaccine information for the country to which you are traveling.
Do I need to let the hotel know I'm a member of Jet Set Joe?
There is no need to tell the hotel that you are a Jet Set Joe member. All hotel bookings are pre-paid. The front desk attendant at the hotel will know you have pre-paid your hotel stay. If you wish to stay additional nights you may book online only at jetsetjoe.com It is highly probable that the attendant will ask you for a credit card when you check in so that you may have access to the telephone and other hotel amenities. Jet Set Joe does not rebate off of telephone and hotel amenity charges. If you extend your stay past the time of the initial reservation you may get a different price per night, at the hotel's discretion.

How are hotels able to offer low rates online?
It's pretty simple - we operate from a very small margin, we rebate the majority of our commission from the hotel back to you as a cash rebate. Pre-payment saves hotels the costs associated with billing and accounting. These savings are passed to you as lower rates for hotel rooms. Making reservations online costs less than calling hotels directly and booking a room with a customer service representative or travel agent.
When will I be charged for my hotel reservation?
If you book a hotel on our site, where you pay for your entire stay at the time you make your reservation, your credit/debit card will be charged immediately after you make your reservation.
What is a pre-paid hotel reservation?
Pre-payment from guests allows hotels to provide lower rates; up to 50% or more off the hotel retail price. Your entire hotel stay is charged to your credit card at the time of the booking. All you do is arrive at the hotel and enjoy your stay.
Please note: Hotels collect payment for incidentals such as meals, room service, movies, parking and phone calls. Cancellation terms and fees apply to pre-paid bookings.
Why should I pre-pay for my hotel stay?
Pre-paying for your hotel room assures you the lowest rate.
What can I do if the hotel charges me twice?
This may occur in extreme circumstances. Please call the number on your confirmation e-mail, and a Customer Service Representative from the hotel merchant will assist you.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
Cancellations and charges must be made through the merchant listed on your confirmation email. If you notify the hotel directly, it is not considered a valid cancellation and full payment is applied. You will lose eligibility for a refund if cancellations and changes are made after 6pm on the arrival date of your reservation.
Please note: It is not permitted to cancel your booking on the day of arrival after you have checked in at the hotel. In addition, cancellations are subject to a $25 fee.
What do I need to check-in when I arrive at my hotel?
While most hotels will simply require a valid photo ID, we suggest that you print your e-mail confirmation to have ready if requested. You will also need a valid credit card to pay for incidental charges, such as telephone calls, parking and room service.
How do I request a cot or a rollaway bed?
If you require a cot or a rollaway bed please phone the Hotel prior to arrive. Please note requests are at the discretion of the hotel and cannot be guaranteed. Many rooms have restrictions to the number of people occupying a room.
What happens if the hotel cannot fulfill our reservation?
Jet Set Joe's hotel booking merchant, reserves the right to change your hotel reservation to a hotel of a similar standard. No compensation is payable for such changes. In extreme circumstances, the merchant may be forced to cancel your reservation. In this situation, they will notify you immediately. A full refund will be made and the merchant will not be under any further liability to pay any additional charges or costs incurred. The maximum refund given will not be greater than the amount paid for the booking.

Are some ships better than others for children?
While most cruise lines offer supervised activities for children, (such as swimming, sports, movies, and games) some ships don’t. Some ships might have better programs than others and some programs have minimum age requirements. Can I book a cruise for adults-only (no kids)?
There are a few options for cruising without kids. Certain ships simply don’t cater to children, while others actually discourage parents from bringing their children along. Though this doesn’t guarantee a child-free-cruise, it does greatly reduce the number of children onboard. We suggest you read the Family section of the cruise ships’ reviews to see which ships do and which ships don’t cater to children.
What are the different cabin categories?
All cabins are classified as one of three categories:
- Inside (cabins are generally the smallest onboard and have no views).
- Ocean view with balcony (cabins have windows and ocean-facing balconies).
- Suites (have windows and often have balconies. They are generally the largest cabins onboard and offer the most amenities).
What is included in the cruise price?
Generally, the cruise price includes drinks, such as, coffee, tea and water, standard meals and room service, use of gymnasium equipment and most onboard entertainment.
What is not included in the cruise price?
Generally, the cruise price does not include specialty drinks, such as, sodas and alcoholic beverages, meals in alternative restaurants outside of the main dining room, spa and salon services, exercise classes, such as, yoga and pilates, casino gaming, organized shore excursions, photographs, medical services, gifts shop purchases and gratuities.
What are port charges?
Port charges are small fees a cruise ship must pay to use a port of call. They include the following:

Can unaccompanied minors cruise?

Most cruise lines ask that children be at least six months old to cruise.
What's the onboard minimum drinking age?
Most cruise ships maintain a minimum drinking age of 21 while in international waters or at foreign ports. However, some ships have a minimum drinking age of 18.
Why does it cost so much to book a single-passenger cabin?
Each cruise line bases its cabin rates on double occupancy. When you travel alone, you must pay an extra “single supplement” fee to make up for lost revenue. However, most cruise lines will help you find a roommate if you are traveling alone.
